Yes please to the eyebrow series!
Distance between eyebrows please! This was a fantastic video.
I’d love to see an eyebrow miniseries.
She has one in her playlists
Pleeeease full series on eyebrows!
Pleaseee do eyebrows for square faces with dark hair and flat chins (e.g. Camille from Emily in Paris or Athiya Shetty). Basically square faces without prominent chins
Another factor for brows can be to help match the contrast level of the rest of your makeup/your outfit!
As someone with medium contrast (dark blonde but super pale, so I can handle contrast but generally with lighter colours,) I decide whether to use a darkening eyebrow mascara based on how light/dark my outfit is. Like with clothes in my season I’d leave my eyebrows blonde, but when wearing black/dark colours I try to have darker makeup (relative to my natural colouring, so usually soft brown brows and slightly pigmented lip colour) to make the added contrast from my clothing more harmonious with my overall appearance.
My brows are honestly the one main tweak I can make to pull off dressing outside of my recommended colours!
Mmm, I literally have no eyebrows. Hypothyroidism started them thinning in my very early 30s, and then chemotherapy for breast cancer ended them. They just never came back. I need to fake them and find lighter is better, not so fake looking for me. I only watch YT, so the examples you showed Jenn were shocking to me 😬 Thank you for your amazing content ❤
Super helpful! More eyebrow videos for sure!
your lighter brows are definitely more sophisticated and niche. i love them
Luckily the first time my brows were plucked, my aunt didn't encourage me to make them thin, 20 years later I have decent eyebrows, I just remove the excess hair to make them look clean and defined.
I used to draw my eyebrows (and eyeliner) super dark because that’s what the RUclipsrs I watched were doing and I never understood why my face looked so off. It was only after I discovered Asian beauty RUclipsrs and saw them using lighter brow and eye products that I realized my mistake. Light eyebrows and brown eyeliner for me all the way!
Yessss more eyebrow content please 😢
Eyebrow mini series please! I've watched all your previous eyebrow videos and would love a further breakdown like this!
So glad you mentioned Jennifer Aniston. I always thought that strong eyebrows don't suit her, but make her face harsh and hardened somehow. Re. your brows, I think that lighter brows suit you better!
I'm glad I watched this Jen. I'm going to be 60 soon and a lot of women my age can look more masculine as we age, I have a prominent nose but I do have round cheeks that make me look more youthful than 60. I have noticed that I look better smiling in photos than not at this age (instant face lift). I liked your lighter eyebrows btw. I always thought Celine Dion was a perfect example of how she looked better with age because they gave her a Hollywood makeover and lightened her brows, she looked prettier! No hate, I love Celine. Have you seen her eyebrows when she was a teenager? It's a dramatic eyebrow makeover that totally changed her face for the better imo.
So educational ❤ People need to hear this.
I like the lighter eyebrows on you. Darker ones do look more masculine.
I’ve gotten my eyebrows tinted several times as a fair skinned red head and they were always way too dark for several days until fading to an acceptable intensity. I’ve decided that I prefer my natural brows. Also, when you are in a salon, the bright lights can wash out your eyebrows, so that when the stylist says “your eyebrows are too light, you should tint them”, you might agree. Just get out in other types of lighting and your eyebrows will look just fine!!!
a video on eyebrow distance would be great! 🥰 I’m so confused how much (or if) i should pluck my eyebrows in their inner side… and I don’t wanna do to much, in case they don’t come back… but maybe it would be great for my face 🥲
Please do a video about straight brows!
I think there’s actually a spectrum of how more or less contrast in the face can make you look mature or youthful. I think it goes from VERY youthful looking with very little contrast ( a good example is Mia Goth), intermediate contrast (I think this is the broadest category in the west, looks like they’re in their 20s-to early 30s) and finally the people that have mature features, but also have less contrast. Imagine an example from each of these categories are all the same age, they just look different.
Eyebrow miniseries yes yes!
Also something about how to groom them at home 😭
Yes to more eyebrow videos! ❤
Since I found your channel I've watched your previous videos on eyebrows. I have been doing some experimenting with mine. Trying all different products, colors, shapes and depths. I have the prominent brow with deep set eye and larger nose bridge so my T zone leans masculine. I have wide cheekbones, full lips and a pointy chin. So somehow it balances out. I'm 48 and I'm getting the jowels and the Turkey neck from aging. I've decided that I like having the more bold darker brow with arch because it draws attention back up to my eyes and makes me look younger.
Thank you again for your information, which always gives me something new to think about. Please keep them coming.
I recently got on to getting my brows tinted darker, and I couldn't believe how much I liked it. Now I know why. I have a narrow nose bridge, a fine boned, feminine brow, and I'm aging, so I like to pull the gaze upwards. Brilliant.
Yes, I'm interested! And IMHO, I like you more with lighter brows.
Im so glad I found your channel! Love to see more deep dive videos of the other components; your way of explaining is incredible and super informative. Greetings from México
Would love a mini series abput eyebrows!
I think that the light eyebrows look better on you. Because your face is a little bit narrow over the eyes area. In comparison to the width of your lower face. Darker bigger eyebrows make this more noticeable. I think its very interesting to analyze proportions and the effect it has. ❤😊
Yes to the eyebrow series.
Thing is: On you I do prefer the lighter, softer brows. I feel like the darker brows are creating a heaviness on the upper half of your face which seems less beneficial for the look you're going for. Even though the space between your brows and lashlines isn't small, darker brows look like they push down towards your eyes and that can look tired in a way. Whereas the lightened brows look more lightweight and I actually feel more focused on your eyes that way. Might just be my personal perception though.
I tried all different kinds of brow shapes and colors (even bold colors like bright pink, vivid purple, green, blue, stuff like that, but of course also natural colors) and learned that I dislike thicker brows on my face. I do have a small face and not too much space between my brows and the crease. If I draw my brows in too dark or heavy, I look just weird. I prefer to go for a color that's slightly lighter than my natural brow hairs (I have sparse brows anyways) and just fill in the shape. Going darker than my natural brows looks too severe, going much lighter looks weird as well. I had many different hair colors in the past 20 years and even when I had black hair, I never used black color to fill in my brows, I usually opted for a soft medium brown instead and that actually did look quite natural. Even with platinum hair, I don't like having matching brows, it will take away a lot of the visible expression of my face and I don't like that. Anything from medium blonde to medium brown usually works quite well. Now that I'm having platinum hair again, I usually opt for a softer medium to dark blonde color for my brows. The shape is rather soft, but the brows themselves are quite thin but don't look thin on my face if that makes sense. I like to look at the entire picture and the brows can REALLY distort the image our face creates. I also don't like my brows to look too perfectly drawn in (like the 2016 brows, they look really awkward on me) or too sharp (I feel like that adds something to my face that only looks nice when I wear really intense eye make up and that's not my intention). What I found really weird though: People usually think I don't wear brow make up even though I don't even put in much effort, I just fill them in and blend out that color, it's not neat, I don't draw in individual hairs, it's more like a very soft powder brow look in which you can still see the color difference between the make up and the actual brow hairs (intentionally actually - so more like "shaded in" rather than "carved out"). And that's just what I prefer my brows to look like, actually. If I do not wear make up I don't mind my brows at all, but leaving them plain when I wear eye make up looks odd or rather like incomplete.
I’d love to learn more about all the eyebrow components Jenn! I have a scar in one of my brows (rough childhood playing with my three older cousins 😂) I cover it up with brown powder on the skin beneath, then a few eyebrow pen strokes. Loved this vid!
Sounds good! :D
I have done it all with my brows. super full, super thin, completely bleached. and I was never happy with them. I swore I had eyebrow dysmorphia because I couldn't tell what they really looked like, and what I should do (or blindness as the trend refers to).
it wasn't until I watched a video of yours that mentioned close together eyebrows based on nose and eye width. my eyebrows are so naturally long, it felt very unnatural to pluck beyond the very most center of my brows. but I took a LEAP of faith after your video and plucked them further apart. IT MADE A WORLD OF A DIFFERENCE, AND WAS THE KEY I HAVE BEEN MISSING FOR A LITERAL DECADE.
my bangs are a big part of shaping my brows too. I have crescent shaped bangs which highlights the front of my brows, where the length tapers down right at the arches, which are very high and intense. I prefer the softness effect I get from hiding the arches with bangs. but I love that I get a different visual look and balance when my bangs are clipped back and my high arches get to shine.
THANK YOU for your work and always explaining these things SO respectfully and without any sort of hierarchy. ❤❤🎉🎉
This makes so much sense now, ty.
Me with naturally big brows😂 The way I used to tweeze them to oblivion in the early 2000s😅
I'd like a video on eyebrow shape. I'm not even sure what my shape is because they're so blonde they're transparent, but I really like the look of straight eyebrows, so I use brow pomade to give them that appearance. That's one good thing about blonde eyebrows - you can make them any shape you like without plucking. My sister's eyebrows are straight across but turn up slightly at the ends - that's my ideal shape (looks kind of elfin or Vulcan), but I'm not sure straight eyebrows really go with the rest of my face.
I used to struggle with making my eyebrows look natural and not too heavy, but once I switched from a brow pencil to brow powder, they started looking so much better-easily 100 times improved. I’m never going back to using a pencil again and highly recommend making the switch!
Great insights and would definitely be interested in the entire series. Thanks, Jenn.
Thank you, Jenn. ✌😊
That was too insightful and helpful.
Appreciation for discussion.
Ps put my hand up for more eyebrow shape videos.
pleaaaseee more about eyebrows
Yes to a series on this-please make one on eyebrow ageing issues such as turning white/fading and becoming more sparse. This is happening to me, and I tried at first to use more cosmetics on them, but turns out on me (fair skin, fair eyes, auburn (dyed) hair the grey eyebrows kind of look cool and better than a heavier brow.
Eyebrow mini series please!
I’m finding that colour and boldness also have to do with Kibbe type and colour season and as you mention, contrast. As an FN “cleaned up” brows don’t suit me, they need to be thicker and not completely manicured. As a soft summer with low contrast, they can’t be too much darker than my hair though, that starts looking “off” and too masculine.
Thank you so much for this! Can you make a video on korean style straight brows vs. curved/arched brows and what factors would make one more favourable than the other?
This is such a great idea and something I've struggled with too. Thanks!
Yesss! More eyebrows please! I used to use a black pencil for mine as I thought my hair is black ( it isn’t, it’s dark brown but what did I know…) so I should match my eyebrows. It looked awful. Luckily they were pretty thin as was the fashion then. But still… They’re a bit thicker and lighter nowadays but I still like thin eyebrows in some people and absolutely hate when they’re too thick and look like caterpillars (Lily Collins, though I think she plucked them very slightly recently as they’re not as bad as they used to be. Sorry Lily!)
This was great! Very helpful.
I have that full cheek look, long philtrum, and hooded (?) slightly downturned eyes and I'm trying to figure out what type of eyebrows (distance from eyes, shape, angle etc.) would look best on me... so I keep rewatching these videos until I figure it out lol.
I would like to see another eyebrow video pls!
I love your content, it’s very useful and it’s not something that is usually found on any app so thanks!! Also, i have a doubt, what about you have a wide nose bridge and long nose and also wide set eyes, which tip should i follow? I mean, i don’t know where i should put focus on, if outside my features or inside them
It really depends on the actual proportions themselves (like how wide your nose bridge is, how wide-set the eyes are, etc) and also which feature you are concerned about the most, so your personal preference should also be taken into consideration.
Fantastic video so helpful and informative as always my dear x something different yet about something we all probably struggle with so really useful advice thank you pet xx ❤
My face is so classic and perfectly balanced I've learned my makeup is just about coving up flaws. So like skin unevenness. I pomade my brows into place and remove the stragglers. I don't change color or anything like that. Like I can't do crazy wild looks. Can't overline anything. Boring boring boring for me.
My younger sister has had thin eyebrows naturally. Mine are medium naturally. I hardly pluck them due to them not being bushy. We are both light eyes and eyebrow color is mainly blonde/strawberry- anyway, she started doing a big brow fake, and it looks bad. I can't say anything. I hope she becomes un eyebrow blind. It doesn't look good.
Again, I've not said a word. No, she won't see this. She doesn't do RUclips
I don't know how to tell if a nose bridge is prominent - the second picture of Jennifer Aniston looked like she had a thicker nose bridge, but not really a higher one, than the heavy-browed celebrities. Is it the thickness or the highness that makes it prominent?
I like the lighter eyebrows much better on you, you look more fresh and youthful. The darker brows make you look more mature and more serious imo.
I love your videos ❤
❤❤❤
Why is it that a majority of people might say they like your eyebrows better darker (I remember that video - I voted for lighter), when you yourself like them lighter? Is it just that the trends have influenced what people consider attractive, so that they don't consider the overall effect taking into consideration the person's individual traits? I have red hair that's super curly (3A), which I always straighten. I think curls don't look good with my face shape and they overwhelm my face. Once I wore it curly when my blowdryer broke, and I was quite literally swarmed by people telling me they loved my curls and asking why I straighten them. But I think they must be looking only at the hair itself and not at the overall impression, because curls make me look awful. They just do. I'd need a broader bone structure to pull it off, and the curls provide this lift from my forehead that looks bad, for reasons I haven't been able to articulate. But then part of me wonders if so many people (claim) to like me better with curls, am I wrong? I don't think I am!

Should the end/tail of eyebrows be shorter or longer if you don't want face to look bloated/fat? I feel longer tail would make face look wider but I'm not sure.
Wait. So what is the definition of eyebrow blindness?
It means you didn’t realize at the time that the style of eyebrows you had was unflattering… It’s like you’ve been “blinded” by the trends
@@stylerefinement Oh, okay! Thank you for clarifying!
I didn't see a link for the eyebrow product you suggested. Where can we find it?
Sorry that's my bad! I just updated the link in the description ❤
Is the product (brow lash ex) an eyebrow mascara ? I don’t see anything about an eyebrow lightener
I can see how the description was confusing! It’s an eyebrow mascara but it will actually show up on dark hair unlike most light brow mascara colors. Thanks for the question I updated the description 👌
You really have so much in common in appearance with Jennifer Aniston, except your nose bridge. Lucky b! 😅 Always love your presentations
I actually think the lighter brows on you look great and also more youthful and softening.
I feel like I only started getting that comment since I started YT! It's really something I've never heard before but I'm super flattered ☺
definitely lighter brows on you, darker make your face look much more masculine
I think thick eyebrows are awful on everyone, same for blond eyebrows.
100% agree on the thick eyebrows, when they look like caterpilars it's so unflattering.
But about the blond eyebrows, although I do think it looks horrendous and alieny on anyone with dark hair (I got a sense of, there's lacking smth in the face), I think it works on blondes. Because it's normal and natural to have the same color of gair everywhere, a blonde girl with blonde eyebrows or an albino girl with white ones don't look bad with it imo
